Gratitude and Growth: My Acceptance into the TIIDELab Fellowship (Cohort 5)

Today has been a day filled with incredible experiences for me as I was accepted into the TIIDELab Fellowship (Cohort 5). I am extremely grateful to Mr. Kadir Salami, the Founder of TIIDELab, for providing me with a platform where I can develop my thoughts and skills while embarking on frontend #softwaredevelopment journey. I would also like to express my gratitude to the INDUSTRIAL TRAINING FUND, NIGERIA, and Nigeria Employers' Consultative Association (NECA) for their invaluable support and partnership with TIIDELab, which has made this #fellowship possible.

One piece of advice that resonated with me for this fellowship is from Celeste O, TIIDELab program coordinator: " The future belongs to the few who are willing to get their hands dirty as they put in the effort to improve themselves." I understand that the valid reward lies at the end of this journey, and I am determined to approach this #training with #purpose.

During the induction, I was amazed by the sense of harmony and #collaboration among TiideLab Alumni, regardless of their different locations: Godswill Udoh, Reina Ezeabasilim, Chokor Solomon, Ayodele Samuel Adebayo- (unclebigbay), and Onyedikachi Emmanuel Ibeabuchi. The power of intellectual networking was evident, and their words were filled with wisdom. Additionally, Mr. Kadir Salami's advice emphasized the importance of grounding ourselves before embarking on our software tracks.

These words were like bursts of energy, and I'm eager to reach new heights. Shortly after the induction, classes began. The coordinator Aderoju Shamsudeen Adedapo wasted no time, emphasizing the trends in TIIDELab: "We don't waste time, we take action."

The first lesson focused on tech management tools and was led by @Ayodele Samuel Adebayo- (unclebigbay) in an elaborate google meet virtual session. #Notion and #Trello for organizing our #workspace were introduced as efficient and practical for digital tasks. This obviously, is my first focus, and I am eager to master these tools quickly.

Next, we delved into tech deployment tools: #Vercel, #Netlify, and #git page. These tools provide great benefits in making our code accessible to the public without encountering any obstacles. The journey has officially begun, and I am elated to be on this train for the next few months.
